When are the dream home open houses?

The dream home will be open every Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm starting on Saturday, October 5th. See full list of open houses below:

How many prizes are included in the Dream Home Lottery?

11,072 prizes will be awarded in the Dream Home portion of the Dream Home Lottery, 1 prize will be awarded in the 50/50 portion of the Dream Home Lottery, and 43 prizes will be awarded in the Dream Calendar portion of the Dream Home Lottery. The total value of all prizes drawn in the Dream Home portion of the Dream Home Lottery is $1,994,547.81 including applicable taxes and freight (where applicable). The total 50/50 prize drawn is dependent on the total number of tickets sold. The total value of all prizes drawn in the Dream Calendar portion of the Dream Home Lottery is $166,454.94 including applicable taxes and freight (where applicable).

How many prizes are included in the Dream Calendar?

43 prizes will be awarded in the Dream Calendar portion of the Dream Home Lottery. The total value of all prizes drawn in the Dream Calendar portion of the Dream Home Lottery is $166,454.94 including applicable taxes and freight (where applicable).

How many prizes are included in the 50/50?

1 prize will be awarded in the 50/50 portion of the Dream Home Lottery. The total 50/50 prize drawn is dependent on the total number of tickets sold. The absolute minimum prize drawn is $150,000.

How many Dream Calendar tickets are for sale?

A total of 83,000 Dream Calendar ticket will be available for sale.

 

How much are Dream Home lottery tickets?

Dream Home ticket prices are 2-Pack for $50, 6-Pack for $100, 16-Pack for $250 or 35-Pack for $375. 

Bundle ticket packages are available for purchase containing Dream Home tickets, 50/50 tickets and Dream Calendar tickets. The bundle prices are; Dream Big Bundle (6 Dream Home tickets, 30 50/50 tickets and 3 Dream Calendar tickets) for $175, Dream Bigger Bundle (16 Dream Home tickets, 60 50/50 tickets and 8 Dream Calendar tickets) for $350 and Dream Biggest Bundle (35 Dream Home tickets, 150 50/50 tickets and 20 Dream Calendar tickets) for $600.

How much are Dream Calendar tickets?

Dream Calendar tickets are 2-Pack for $20, 5-Pack for $40, or 10-Pack for $60.

What is included in the Dream Home Lottery packs (Big, Bigger and Biggest)?

Bundles include Dream Home tickets, Dream Calendar tickets and 50/50 tickets with a discount! The bundle prices are; Dream Big Bundle which contains 6 Dream Home tickets, 30 50/50 tickets and 3 Dream Calendar tickets for $175. Dream Bigger Bundle contains 16 Dream Home tickets, 60 50/50 tickets and 8 Dream Calendar tickets for $350 and Dream Biggest Bundle contains 35 Dream Home tickets, 150 50/50 tickets and 20 Dream Calendar tickets for $600.

Why does it say the bundles are sold out?

If either the dream home or dream calendar tickets receive the maximum amount of tickets available for sale then the bundle discounts are no longer available. You can still purchase tickets individually.

I didn’t order my 50/50 tickets when I ordered my Dream Home Lottery ticket, can I still order them?

Yes! You can order Dream Calendar tickets over the phone by calling 1-833-208-4387, visiting Bluewater Health Foundation’s office or by using the TOP-UP tool.

What is the Top-Up tool, and how do I use it?

If you have already purchased Dream Home Lottery tickets and forget to get 50/50 or Dream Calendar tickets or just want to buy more tickets, you can do that easily and conveniently online.

The TOP-UP tool allows you to pull up your original purchase and add more tickets to your order.

You can either scan the unique QR code on your ticket, enter your order number or provide your email and postal code to locate your original order.

Do I have to have a Dream Home lottery ticket in order to play the Dream Calendar draw?

Dream Calendar tickets can only be ordered in conjunction with Dream Home Lottery tickets. Dream Calendar tickets will not be accepted without the purchase of an original Dream Home Lottery ticket order.

Who is not eligible to order a ticket?

The following members and all of their immediate family residing in the same household are prohibited from purchasing a ticket; Board members and employees of Bluewater Health Foundation and Charlotte Englehart Eleanor Hospital Foundation, members of the Bluewater Health Board of Directors and Executive Team, members of the Dream Home Lottery Key Committee, the respective builder and decorator of the Dream Home; partners and employees of MNP LLP and its affiliates; partners and employees of Raffle Nexus and its affiliates; and members of any licensed gaming suppliers providing services to the program.

How will the proceeds from the Dream Home Lottery be used?

These vital proceeds benefit both the Sarnia and CEEH in Petrolia, ensuring that our local healthcare facilities continue to provide exceptional care to our community. Can I request specific ticket numbers?

No, tickets will be issued in sequential order.

I have deleted the email and/or my lottery ticket. Am I still eligible for the draws?

Yes! You do not need your tickets to claim your prize. Your ticket details are recorded in the database along with your ticket numbers. If you would like a replacement ticket, please call toll free1-833-208-4387. 

I do not have an email address. How do I purchase a ticket?

You can purchase tickets without an email address over the phone by calling 1-844-667-3251, visiting Bluewater Health Foundation’s office or at the dream home during open houses.

Tickets purchased over the phone will be mailed to the primary ticket holders address provided at time of sale within 7-10 business days.

Can I gift my Dream Home Lottery tickets?

Yes! Dream Home Lottery tickets make great gifts. Purchase tickets in the name of the recipient online or over the phone by calling toll-free1-844-667-3251.

*All transfer of prizes must happen independently of the Dream Home Lottery. Bluewater Health Foundation are not responsible for any disputes arising from a failure or refusal to transfer winnings and prizes, nor will they mediate or negotiate any settlement should a conflict arise. The primary ticket purchaser will be considered the winner

What happens if a bad payment is received?

If your credit card is declined or your cheque is returned to us by the bank, you will be contacted by MNP LLP and given an opportunity to provide replacement payment (Visa or MasterCard) within two business days. Any tickets issued will be considered invalid until replacement payment is receive

Do I have to have a Dream Home Lottery ticket in order to play the 50/50 draw?

50/50 tickets can only be ordered in conjunction with Dream Home Lottery tickets. 50/50 tickets will not be accepted without the purchase of an original Dream Home Lottery ticket order.

Is my ticket purchase tax deductible?

No, lottery tickets are not tax deductible as per Canada Revenue Agency.

Do I have to pay taxes on any winnings?

No, lottery winnings are considered a windfall and not taxable in Canada.

If I win the Dream Home do I have to live in it or can I sell it?

Once the home is awarded to the winner, they do not have to live in it. Any prize won can be sold if the winner wishes to do so. The title for a home may be registered in anyone’s name. We recommend that you contact a tax or legal professional with specific questions.

Do I have to take the prize or can I just take the cash?

Prizes must be accepted as awarded, except where indicated. Please refer to www.bwhfdreamhome.com for a listing of prizes and/if a cash option is available.

How do you draw the winners?

Ticket fulfillment and draw control services are provided by MNP LLP. A certified random number generator (RNG) will be used to conduct the draws. For questions about the draw process, please call toll-free 1-833-208-4387.

How are winners notified?

The primary ticket purchaser will be notified electronically through email or through mail, by Bluewater Health Foundation as to what they have won and where/how to claim their prize(s). Major prize winners will be notified by phone. Winner’s names will be published on Bluewater Health Foundation’s Dream Home Lottery website, www.bwhfdreamhome.com.

If I win an early bird prize, is my ticket still eligible for the other draws?

Yes! Winning ticket numbers are eligible for all subsequent draws.

How long do I have to claim my prize?

Prize winners are asked to claim prizes in a timely manner following notification. Any prizes which are not claimed shall be secured for a period of six months from the date of the draw. Unclaimed prizes will be reported and a charitable allocation will be approved by the licensing body.

I won a free ticket, what now?

Congratulations! The primary purchaser will be sent the free ticket(s) in the same format that the original ticket order was received (either electronically through email or through Canada Post). Please allow between 7-10 business days for delivery.

What is your privacy policy?

The Dream Home Lottery is administered by Bluewater Health Foundation and Charlotte Eleanor Engelhart Foundation. This information is protected and governed by the privacy policies of Bluewater Health Foundation. Any personal information that you provide is collected for the purpose of fulfilling this lottery, promoting future such lotteries and other fundraising activities. The Foundation does not rent, sell or trade our mailing lists.
